The Japanese company Ryobi is one of the leaders in the fishing reel market, and its products are used by many professional fishermen. After the first successful models in the 70s, the design of Ryobi reels turned out to be so successful that it became a model for creating analogs under a variety of brands. And although the model range of this manufacturer is not as wide as, say, Daiwa or Shimano, all models of Ryobi spinning reels are time-tested and very reliable. In addition, the prices for Ryobi reels are quite affordable.
The signature feature of most models of Ryobi spinning reels is the all-metal design of the body, rotor and spool, as well as a tubular bail of the line guide, which ensures the accuracy of the line coming off onto the conical roller after casting. The mechanisms of some Ryobi reel models are equipped with an endless screw, which guarantees perfect winding and laying of the fishing line or braided cord with the lower turns overlapping the upper ones, which allows fishing without jumping loops and "beards". The presence of an endless screw or S-shaped groove system is especially important when using spinning reels in those types of fishing where uneven wiring is used. These types include jig fishing and, in particular, twitching. In unsuccessful spool feed systems, such fishing is guaranteed to be impossible without intertwining the lower turns of the cord during casting. In Ryobi spinning reels, this problem is solved by an endless screw on the upper series (for example, in the Ryobi Zauber model) or a high-precision S-shaped groove system in cheaper series (Ryobi Ecusima, Oasys, Applause reels).
