The history of MasterCraft Boat Company began in the small town of Mereville, Tennessee in 1968. The creators of the first professional towing boats had no idea that they were making an innovative breakthrough in the shipbuilding industry.

The founders of the shipyard set themselves the task of creating a boat with minimal wave formation and clear wake lines for water skis.

The solution was found in the development of a special hull for the first MasterCraft boat.

In the first year of its existence, the company managed to build 12 water ski towboats. For 50 years, the MasterCraft shipyard has been producing thousands of luxury towboats and winning at the most prestigious exhibitions.

MasterCraft ProStar is the most popular model of towboats. It was the ProStar boat that set all the world records in all categories of water skiing: slalom, figure skating and ski jumping.

The current holder of the world record in ski jumping is Freddy Krueger, a pro-rider for the MasterCraft team. He made a jump from a ski jump on water skis of 312 feet or 95.9 meters in length and got into the Guinness Book of Records. ProStar is a dream of all water skiers. The boat is equipped with the most advanced technologies of the 21st century, and its design was developed according to the unique style of MasterCraft.

In 2017, specialists developed a unique hull geometry, which gives the boat perfect dynamics and ensures a comfortable riding process for water ski lovers. The most important Zero OFF system, which operates via satellite GPS navigation, allows you to achieve maximum stability of a given course and maintain a constant speed of the towing vehicle. Ease of control and attention to detail are the distinctive features of this boat model.

The pilot panel is equipped with everything necessary for comfortable piloting of the boat.

The speed control system has five options:

Trick ski (speed control for figure skating)

Slalom (speed control for slalom with the ability to change the speed by 0.2 km/h)

Slalom Competition (speed control for world-class competitions)

Jump (speed control for ski jumping with the ability to change the speed by 0.2 km/h)

Jump Competition (speed control for world-class competitions)

These settings are displayed to the left of the steering wheel on a monitor with a touch-screen system, which is duplicated by soft keys on the sides of the monitor.

The monitor also displays the speed of the boat, the depth of the reservoir, the temperature of the boat systems and the environment (water/air temperature).

Under the monitor are the indicators of the amount of gasoline and oil in the engine. The toggle switches for turning on the heating, pumping water from the bilge (auto/manual) and running lights are located there.

There is a waterproof box under the glass for storing personal items. To the left of the steering wheel is the audio system display, equipped with AV and USB ports. And for fans of remote control, there is a Bluetooth connection for devices. The front of the boat is equipped with two comfortable seats for those who prefer to enjoy the splashes of water and experience thrills. If desired, you can close the bow compartment with a lid, which has a track covered with Seadeck material for safe movement and jumping into the water from the bow.

The interior trim and seats in the boat are made of high-strength fabric, which is resistant to any type of dirt and does not absorb moisture.

On the starboard side of the boat, the shipyard craftsmen have provided holders for a pair of skis, ensuring their safety by securely fixing them. In addition to all of the above, the boat can be equipped with two additional passenger seats. Behind the place for installing these seats there are spacious waterproof hatches for storing gloves, soap or personal items of equipment. The transom plate of the boat is made of teak and processed manually - this is a traditional feature of the MasterCraft shipyard. For those who prefer the High-tech style, there is an installation of a plate made of high-strength polymers.

For five years now, MasterCraft and Ilmor have been closely cooperating. Specially for MasterCraft, jointly developed engines are produced, which for two years have been installed only on MasterCraft boats.

There are two types of engines for ProStar:

Ilmor 5000 MPI - 5.7 liters and 320 hp.

Ilmor 6000 GDI - 6.2 liters and 430 hp.
