The Lund Boat Company was founded in 1948 by Howard Lund and over its sixty-year history has become one of the leaders in the fishing boat market, producing 12,000 hulls per year. Today, Lund is a division of the Brunswick Corporation, which is the world's largest manufacturer of boats, motorboats and engines for them and is among the 500 largest companies in the world.

The corporation includes such well-known boat manufacturers as Bayliner, Baja, Boston Whaler, Maxxum, Sea Ray, Sealine, Trophy, equipment manufacturer Attwood, the most powerful "motors" Mercury, Mariner, Motor Guide and Cummins.
