MAN marine engines are powerful diesel and gas engines used in maritime shipping. Main Types of MAN Marine Engines:
Two-Stroke Low-Speed Diesel Engines (MAN BW)
Used on large vessels (tankers, container ships, bulk carriers).
Operate on heavy fuel oil (HFO) or more eco-friendly alternatives.
High fuel efficiency.
Models: MAN BW ME-C, ME-GI, ME-LGI (different versions for various fuel types, including LNG).
Four-Stroke Medium- and High-Speed Diesel Engines (MAN 48/60, MAN 51/60, MAN 175D, etc.)

Offer a good balance of power and efficiency.
Can run on biofuel and LNG.
Gas Engines
Operate on liquefied natural gas (LNG), reducing SOx and NOx emissions.
Models: MAN 51/60G, MAN ME-GI (two-stroke).
Used on ferries, LNG carriers, and other environmentally friendly vessels.
Hybrid and Alternative Solutions
MAN develops hybrid systems, combining diesel or gas engines with electric motors and battery storage.
New technologies, such as ammonia and hydrogen fuel, are being explored to reduce the carbon footprint.
