Kohler diesel engines are reliable, economical and high-performance engines used in marine, construction equipment, agriculture and industry. Kohler Co., founded in the USA in 1873, produces diesel engines through the Kohler Engines division, offering advanced technologies that provide high power, fuel efficiency and durability.
The main production of Kohler diesel engines is concentrated in two countries: in Italy (Reggio Emilia), where modern KDI (Kohler Diesel Industrial) series models with turbocharging and Common Rail system are manufactured, and in the USA, where Kohler Co. plants operate, serving the North American market. These engines meet strict environmental standards EPA Tier 4 Final, EU Stage V, IMO, providing low emissions and efficient fuel combustion.
Kohler diesel engines have a number of advantages: they are economical, compact, reliable, easy to maintain and designed to operate in difficult conditions. Many models are turbocharged, cooled, exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and diesel particulate filters (DPF), making them competitive in the global marketplace.
Popular models include the Kohler KDI 1903M (3-cylinder, 1.9L, 56 hp) for boats and small special equipment, the Kohler KDI 2504M (4-cylinder, 2.5L, 74 hp), which is used in tractors, generators and marine applications, the Kohler KDI 3404TCR (4-cylinder, 3.4L, 134 hp) for heavy equipment and marine applications, and the Kohler KDW series (702/1003/1404) with power ratings from 16 to 35 hp for small boats, agricultural and construction equipment.
Kohler diesel engines are used in various fields: shipbuilding (boats, fishing vessels, yachts), construction equipment (mini-excavators, loaders, compressors), agriculture (tractors, combines, pumping units), generator sets (industrial and domestic diesel generators) and industrial equipment (pumping stations, compressors, power units).
